Eichler Modern

creating the illusion of perfection.

Eichler Modern headline

The Modernist Movement took off in the late 1940s, characterized by flat planes, linear lines, cantilevered roofs, natural and industrial materials, open-plan indoor-outdoor spaces, and floor-to-ceiling glazed windows. Simplicity and integration with nature. Envisioned by modernism luminaries Marcel Breuer, Le Corbusier, Charles DuBois, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Albert Frey to Frank Neutra. And, then, there was the anomaly Joseph Eichler, the audacious post-war real estate developer that introduced modernism to the rest of us.

“My wife and I bought a rundown, bank-owned Eichler in the Oakland Hills, neglected for a couple of decades. We hired Craig Beckner because he’s incredibly detail-oriented and dependable, and understands architecture. Craig worked on our behalf to preserve the integrity of the property. It was a rewarding experience, start to finish, and increased the value significantly.”
