Part of Neutra whole-house restoration. Iconic modernist architect Richard Neutra.

We restored Richard Neutra’s “Darling House”, including signature built-in custom cabinetry throughout. Most homeowners would have replaced everything with soft-close cabinetry. Our clients are a rare breed: dedicated to preserving a museum-worthy residence for generations to come.

The Darling House was one of the first International Style houses in San Francisco. The stacked series of cubic volumes and steel ribbon windows contrast with the more traditional architecture of the surrounding neighborhood. The home is wood-sheathed, three-bedroom and one-and-a-half baths over two stories and 1,964 square feet.
