The living and dining rooms were originally separated with an interior wall under the ridge. We removed the wall and ceiling to create an abundance of light and space. For structural integrity, we installed a 900-pound, 33-foot-long 9 x 17 P-Lam beam.
Beckner Contracting added lighting and electrical, installed Thermador appliances, an expansive quartz island, and custom cabinetry. We designed full-height appliance garage kitchen cabinets with doors that open and slide out of sight.
We removed the outdated volcanic rock fireplace treatment in the family room and replaced it with a custom-made mantel and fireplace surround. Building wall-to-wall seating (with ample storage inside) on either side of the fireplace. Installing glass-paneled barn doors with a direct view from the great room to the kids play area in the family room.
The chandeliers are festooned with a thousand crystals.
