Contemporary: Whole-House Remodel

Saranap

Beckner Contracting & Management remodeled this 1950s-era cottage with a phased kitchen and whole-house makeover. We were brought in by the homeowner’s interior designer, collaborating on vision, process, and details; relocating the kitchen footprint; moving walls; opening views to Mount Diablo and a backyard vineyard; installing hardwood flooring to match the original, a granite central island, custom cabinetry, spacious pantry with a custom frosted and etched glass entry door, utility sink, appliances, tile work, and soft close kitchen drawers.

We incorporated a new sound system, low-voltage cable lights, fixtures, trim, and finishes; fabricated a custom, three-door set of bypass closet doors for the primary bedroom; and repainted the entire home inside and out.

For second and third rounds of work, Beckner Contracting constructed a ground-up shed/ADU in the backyard that matches the house, added brick pathways, and remodeled the primary bath.
